ABOUT
Established in 2016, Wicked Wayside is one of the northern Lincoln Street neighborhood's site for frights. We take pride in planning and setting up new Halloween themes every year and offering surprises to neighbors and trick-or-treaters! Won't you drop by?
FEATURED DISPLAYS
2016 - THE JOLLY MANSON
A few months after we moved in, we decided to hit the ground running with some pirate props. It was an honest effort and we had a lot of fun.
2017 - HOME SWEET HELL
This year brought a new graveyard theme with lots of tombstones and some ambience-building colored lighting.
2018 - HOME SWEET HELL 2: CURSE OF THE CHEESE TWINS
Our cemetery theme expanded with the addition of tombstones and kitten skeletons representing our cheesy cats. Even they got to join in the fun!
2019 - RETURN OF THE JOLLY MANSON
Our pirate theme returned with the addition of some new themed skeletons and props and some upgraded lighting.
2020 - SNOWMEN TELL NO TALES
This year brought a lot of surprises (not good ones), but one of the prettier ones was a heavy snowfall that covered everything, adding to the spooky factor. We had a lot of cool lighting and the addition of an awesome pirate ship! We didn't get many visitors that year but we were glad to still make it worth driving by.
2021 - LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
One of my favorite musicals and movies is Little Shop of Horrors, about an innocent little bloodthirsty plant that eats everyone and grows big enough to take over the world. Fun! This was one of my favorite sets, which had vines coming from the ground, "blood" dripping from all the window sills, and the plant shop in the front porch with Seymour and Audrey!
2022Â - DON'T FEAR THE REAPER
Our graveyard expanded and upgraded to include more skeletons, projections, a talking Grim Reaper, and a 12' skeleton. The weather was great and we were able to sit outside and enjoy seeing the folks who enjoy our scenes.
2023 - THE HAUNTED "MANSON"
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize! As a huge fan of Disney's the Haunted Mansion ride, I had to make it happen in our yard. With a chop-happy bride in the attic, and hitchhiking ghosts by the road, there are fun details all over the house and yard.
2024 - CURSE OF THE JOLLY MANSON: DEAD MEN EAT NO REESE'S
One of our most popular themes, Pirates, returns with the addition of more skeletons, more lights, and more surprises! We've had a gorgeous October which has really helped our display look beautifully haunting all month!
